Joseph Oruko
Joseph Oruko is a seasoned Team Leader at JOPECOTRA, a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kenya with over 25 years of experience. As a counselling environmentalist, Joseph's expertise lies in promoting holistic empowerment by strengthening community, individual, and organizational capacity. Authorized by the Ministry of Education, JOPECOTRA provides peer counselling training for teachers and students across Kenya. Since the onset of COVID-19, Joseph has spearheaded initiatives to support vulnerable households in Nairobi's Eastlands areas, addressing economic challenges, mental health issues, and increased vulnerability to hunger and abuse. Joseph's commitment to community welfare and collaboration with partners showcases his dedication to positive social impact.
